Ryan and Preston Finish 8th
Congratulations to Ryan and Preston for their 8th place finish (out of 62 boats) in the A-O Bomber Invitational on Clinton this past Saturday. Ryan and Preston weighed in a six-bass limit, including one really nice smallmouth bass, for a total weight of 14.30 pounds. They were throwing primarily crank baits and jigs in 2-15 feet of water. The second M-F team of Blake and Bailey finished with two keepers for the day, including a nearly three pound largemouth caught by Blake. Good luck at Sectionals on Clinton Lake this Friday, April 20!

Christian and Becky were named this year's Macon County Scholar Athletes. Christian participated in golf and Becky is currently participating in soccer. Both students are at the top of their class and excellent role models for the rest of the MFHS student body. Congratulations!

January Student of the Month
Carli Sobol, Freshman- Genuine, considerate, and hardworking are three words that describe freshman MFHS student, Carlie Sobol. It is my pleasure to nominate Carlie as MFHS Student of the Month. Her priorities and desire to succeed are undoubtedly apparent in the classroom. Moreover, on several occasions, Carlie has made my day a little brighter with a warm smile, friendly greeting, and kind word. Carlie’s thoughtfulness and motivation are two exemplary traits her peers can look up to. Congratulations, Carlie, on this well deserved honor.-- Mrs. Weedman
February Student of the Month
Andrea Kirby, Senior- It is my honor to congratulate Andrea Kirby as Student of the Month! Andrea has been a 4-year member of choir where I have had the privilege of getting to know her and work with her on an individual basis. She is a very talented young lady with a bright future ahead of her. Her extra-curricular activities keep her very busy (Student Council, National Honor Society, Scholastic Bowl, Regional Youth Council, and is a Decatur Memorial Hospital Junior Volunteer). This fall, she will be attending Illinois Wesleyan University with a major in Nursing. Andrea is a hard worker and takes pride in everything she does! She has definitely left her mark at Maroa-Forsyth High School! Congratulations Andrea!-Mr. Weisenborn
